Wang Yang, vice mayor of Suzhou, and his contingent visited SIP on Feb 20 for a survey on local tourism development.

The officials toured around LY.com, a leading on-line tourist service conglomerate in the country, and Jinji Lake Grand Hotel, learning about their business operations and tourist services.

At the symposium after the tour, Wang and his team gained a holistic picture of the development of tourism industry in SIP from the local officials' expositions, and discussed with them tourism development strategies.

Wang suggested SIP authorities enhance their efforts and adopt innovative approaches to build SIP into a benchmark for "all-for-one tourism", a concept first mentioned in the country's 2017 government work report to encourage local governments to integrate tourism resources to improve tourism competitiveness and service quality. He also urged related city government departments to give full support to SIP in the process.
