Tourism forum opens in SIP


The 2018 China Tourism Quality Forum kicked off in SIP on Jan 29. Many big names from the tourism sector and investment companies were present, brainstorming solutions for high-quality tourism development.

The event, sponsored by Asia-pacific Tourism Organization (APTO), China Economic Information Service and SIP-based Sodo Tourism Group (STG), is aimed at drawing on the wisdom from the whole tourism circle to seek further prosperity of the industry.

In the event, the participants shared their opinions on a variety of topical issues, covering sustainable tourism development, transformation and upgrading of tourist resorts, upscale vacation facilities as well as core competitiveness of tourist destinations.

As part of the event, SIP, Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort and Yi'oulai Suzhou Village received awards from APTO for their strong competitiveness and high quality services.

In addition, STG signed strategic cooperation agreements with several government organizations and enterprises.

After the forum, the participants visited Jinji Lake Scenic Area for a better understanding of the local tourism resources. Later, they also had a tour of Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort for the same purpose.
