The project to develop two tourist routes through the Round-the-City River of Suzhou and Jinji Lake has seen progress recently as the construction plan for the city section of the north route was approved.

The project, launched early this year, consists of the south and north sightseeing routes that will allow the tourists to enjoy a boat trip from the Round-the-City River to Jinji Lake in SIP.

The north route, about 12 km long, is composed of the SIP section, which is now under construction, and the city section, designed to showcase a series of historical and modern attractions of the Suzhou city. The construction of this route is expected to complete in the first half of 2018.

Based on the approval, the construction of the city section will start soon, encompassing a series of moves for landscape improvement, greening, bridge renovation and lighting engineering.
