It is amazing that when looked from the air, cars driving on the bridge suddenly disappear half way through into the lake. Is it magic? In fact, the cars go into the 3-km-long Dushu Lake tunnel after a 3-km drive on the bridge. This is a unique design of bridge and tunnel.

Dushu Lake Bridge and Tunnel project is 7.37 km in length. Its viaduct is 3.43 km long and the tunnel is 3.46 km long. The relief road is 2.86 km.
