Better tourist satisfaction evaluation index revealed

Jinji Lake scenic area has made improvement in tourism service this year and received higher appraisal from tourists, according to 2016 Report on Satisfaction Evaluation by Tourists to Jinji Lake Scenic Area. Figures show that tourist satisfaction index rose to 90.04 this year, 0.85 percent higher than that of last year.

Entrusted by Jinji Lake Scenic Area Administrative Office, Suzhou Customer Evaluation Center (SZCEC) conducted the evaluation from June to October.

Thousands of questionnaires were handed out and 2,000 returned. The questionnaire embraces 13 items, such as traffic and hygiene, shopping environment and service, accommodation facilities and service, tourist source, purpose of traveling, daily spending and so on. Of all the indexes, traffic and hygiene, shopping environment and service, accommodation facilities and service rank the top three. Tourists from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces and Shanghai and Beijing rank the top five in the item of tourist source. As to purpose of traveling, among the top three are attending conference and exhibition, holiday and business travel. In terms of spending, one-day trip tourists spend 281 yuan per person and those who stay the night spend 1,259 yuan per person. The report also shows that many tourists came to Jinji Lake scenic area after they heard from people who have been there.

Included in the report are also suggestions for improvement in catering, shopping environment, hygiene facilities and water protection.
