Here is the limpid, massive body of water, the land of tranquility, a paradise for birds, and the backyard of the urban citizens.

The wetland on Yangchenghu Peninsula in Suzhou Industrial Park is part of the wetland of Yangcheng Lake. The peninsula covers an area of 24.42 square kilometers, including the enclosed 8-square-kilometer water surface, with 60% of the area covered with green grounds and forest. It is the home to over 80 species of birds and 40 species of planktons, and here grow some 200 varieties of wild plants and another 200 kinds of cultivated plants in addition to more than 30 varieties of water plants.
