The 2.5-square-kilometer Xihuwan Park, built by the Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort management on the west shore of Yangcheng Lake, is to open on May 1.

The highlight of the park is the 11-kilometer bicycle lane, with 3-kilometer section on water. In addition, the east part of the lane connects with that on Yangchenghu Peninsula to make the whole lane the longest round-lake bicycle lane in Suzhou, with 30 kilometers in length. This lane is also famous for its 10-kiometer embankment lined with flowering trees on both sides, as the first of its kind in Suzhou.

Besides, Cherry Isle, surrounded by 40,000-square-meter water area, is a must-go spot. And Yangcheng West Lake Orchard, with loquat, pear, peach and plum trees planted in its approximate 350-mu (1 mu = 666.667 square meters) ground, welcomes citizens to pick fruits and enjoy leisure time when the fruits are ripe.
