On October 9, the list of State-level tourist vacation zones was announced, on which was Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort in Suzhou Industrial Park, together with other 16 resorts nationwide. Among all the 17 resorts, three are from Jiangsu Province (Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort is the only one from Suzhou).

Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort, located on the south shores of Yangcheng Lake in the northern part of SIP, is a major project for leisure and holiday making in SIP with an area of 24.39 square kilometers, with 9 square kilometers covered by water.
