On September 7, the award-giving ceremony was held in Suzhou Industrial Park for the annual "Excellence Award" of TripAdvisor, the largest tourism community in the world, with 28 awards granted to hotels, scenic spots, and restaurants in Suzhou. Among the nine winners from SIP were Renaissance Suzhou Hotel, Kempinski Hotel, Regalia Resort & Spa Ligongdi, and the restaurant Riva of InterContinental Hotel, and SIP claimed more and higher awards than any other regions of Suzhou. Renaissance Suzhou Hotel became the only winner of the highest award "Travelers' Choice" in Jiangsu Province. The TripAdvisor ceremony was held in Suzhou for the first time.

Tourist attractions abound in SIP, mostly located around Jinji Lake, such as Harmony Sky Screen, Ferris Wheel Park, Ligongdi, etc. As national 5-A tourist area for tourism, the Jinji Lake Scenic Area was designated as a "national demonstration zone on business tourism" in 2010, and since then, it has been endeavoring to introduce all the elements to build clusters of business tourism industry and form clusters of business hotels of international renown, plus the largest exhibition center of Suzhou, and 312 catering service providers, entertainment and leisure facilities, adequate transport and public service platforms to offer excellent service to business visitors and tourists.
