With plum trees blossoming and willows shooting out, spring is coming. Outing is a traditional way to greet spring in China and here are some places in Suzhou Industrial Park most locals will go to.

Where to get the most beautiful views?
In addition to such popular sites as Baitang Arboretum and Dongsha Lake Ecological Park, Plum Blossom Isle and Egret Park are also the locals' must-go places. Thanks to a hit movie, Personal Tailor, Yangcheng Lake has become a new star among tourist attractions.

Other highlights include the 33-meter-tall gilded statue of Goddess of Mercy at Chongyuan Temple and Xianyinghu Park with over 200 species of plants, providing a dozen spectacular views of cherry blossoms, azaleas, magnolias, lawns, and fountains. Community gardens are also good choices for residents to celebrate spring.

Where to enjoy outing?
Spring outing is a number one activity in the season and traditional activities include swinging, flying kite, and playing balls with family and friends.

The bike lane by Yangcheng Lake

As for sports fans, there's one more option for them this spring: riding along the city's first bike lane by Yangcheng Lake. The services along the 18km path, with a 3.5km water-front section, include bike rental, parking and maintenance, and lockers for personal belongings.

It took Mr. Wang entire afternoon to get to the finish of the lane. "There is no red light and no traffic. You can go at any speed you like and stop at any place you want. I stopped at Lianchihu Park and it's free. You can enjoy the beautiful views of Yangcheng Lake and they are also free."
