Phase-two compound of Jinji Lake Grand Hotel features beautiful waterfront views, palace-style building, and local architectural design elements such as latticed windows and folding screens in lobby.

"We contracted a dozen of design companies," introduced project manager Zhang Ming. "So the designs of kitchens, swimming pool, and landscape are very professional."

Detail is a decisive factor in successful design. "We talked to many experts and finally decided on carpet sedum as roof plant. It's easy to maintain and can live on rain water alone. Its roots will not pierce through the protection layer of roof."

To ensure construction quality, the project team sampled all the materials for lab tests and made strict examination on construction equipments. The landscape pool outside the hotel is a highlight. "There is underground system collecting rain water for watering the lawn and plants." Another highlight is the "ground heat pump" system, which will absorb heat from the ground during winter and heat up the building. "In summer, the system will cool down the building by moving the heat to the ground."

The coordinated opening and closing of windows and AC systems, the flush volume of toilets, you can see green design everywhere inside and outside the hotel. In addition to local designs of garden, rocks, and pools, the designers are also inspired by European architectural elements such as spacious balcony with panoramic views.

Gourmet guests will find its Chinese restaurant, "The Taste of Suzhou", a surprise because they don't have to leave the hotel to get the authentic tastes of local delicacies.
