SIP’s Xietang Sub-district recently saw two events where a number of volunteers with high performance in their services were commended.

Lianfeng Community organized an evaluation on Jan 9 to elect “Advanced Grid Management Teams” and “Excellent Volunteers”. 

Under a grid-based governance mechanism, the community has been divided into eight grids, each with designated grid supervisors. In the event, a group of local volunteers and grid supervisors conducted field evaluation at the grids and then elected the “Advanced Grid Management Teams” and “Excellent Volunteers” who received certificates of honor on the same day.

 

The Love-for-All Volunteer Service Society at Cailian Community held its annual work conference lately, looking back on its volunteer service programs since its inception in 2016 and outcomes in 2019 and rewarding its volunteers for their excellent work.

It is revealed at the event that the volunteer organization has thus far made great contributions in funding poverty-stricken students, helping the handicapped and the aged and offering assistance in local governance. The organization hopes the event can inspire its volunteers to do a better job in the future while attracting more people to join its programs.
