Jointly sponsored by SIP Social Affairs Bureau and SIP Charity Federation (SIPCF), the 1st SIP Charity Carnival took place at Suzhou Center on Oct 26. The event consisted of a variety of activities to show love and care for different groups in need of help.

 

At the opening ceremony, 13 stores at Suzhou Center received the title of “Charitable Stores” for their consistent commitment to charitable causes. Besides, Soochow Securities, which donated money at the event for medical assistance together with other two companies, was appointed vice chair of SIPCF, while a number of SIPCF branches at sub-district and community levels were inaugurated.

 

The event also included charity performances, bazaar and online campaigns to raise money for the needy people as well as interactions and exhibitions to call on more people to join good causes. 

 

Statistics show that the event helped raise RMB 2.2 million in total, and 201 stores at Suzhou Center and nearly 10,000 people took part in it on- and off-line.
