SIP Moon Bay Community Working Committee has been teaming up with Soochow University Dongwu Drama Troupe since 2017 in hosting events on a regular basis to offer local residents free stage plays and teach them simple performance skills. The recent 10th session is a little bit special, since, for the first time, the audience shared the stage with the performers. 

 

In the event, the performers from Soochow University Dongwu Drama Troupe randomly picked several of the audiences to join part of the performance and then guided the other audiences to guess the following plots based on their observations and reasoning. This greatly increased the audiences’ interest in and understanding of the stage art.

The committee said they are endeavoring to expand cooperation with theaters and art troupes to offer the residents better chances to experience the charm and essence of stage play.
