Executives from over 80 social organizations in SIP’s Hudong sub-district and 37 community staff in related lines of work witnessed the founding of Hudong Society for Advancement of Social Organizations (HSASO) on Oct 18. 

 

HSASO, responsible for motivating and uniting all social circles to promote standardized and sound development of local social organizations, is believed to be a twin organization of Hudong Social Organizations League which, created in September, aims to help local social organizations pursue more sustainable development relying on shared resources. The two organizations in combination are expected to drive a thriving development of social organizations in the sub-district. 

 

Hudong Social Organizations League held its first enlarged meeting on the same day, announcing the names of its nine council members and unveiling a plan to host monthly salon, training and information sessions for better exchange between different social organizations.
