The Publicity Department of CPC SIP Working Committee, SIP Federation of Literature and Art Circles and He Jianming Studio jointly launched a program at SIP’s Weiting Sub-district on Aug 30 to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of SIP. The program consists of a series of events where seven renowned Chinese writers will tell stories about the country.

The first event under the program took place concurrently. Bai Gengsheng, vice chairman of China Writers Association, shared with the participants his views on the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative that the Chinese government has proposed in a bid to strengthen infrastructure, trade and investment links between countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, and imparted writing skills to the local literature enthusiasts.

It is learnt that videos of the events under the program will be looped at the local sub-district and community offices, community clubs and libraries for a period of four months.
