SIP’s Meisong Community has been making constant efforts to better services for the returned overseas Chinese working and living in it.

On one hand, the community committee staff often visit the overseas returnees and their families to learn about and fulfill their needs and tell them about the local policies and services concerning their interests.

On the other hand, the community committee organizes various events like those on folding fan making and tea art to offer the overseas returnees and their families chances to experience the charm and essence of traditional Chinese culture.

Moreover, the community encourages overseas returnees to partake in the community governance in a bid to enhance their sense of belonging. For example, a Soochow University professor who once studied in the United States is leading a local property owners’ committee to serve his neighbors and make his contributions to the development of the community.
