A group of officials from Jiangsu Food and Drug Administration (JSFDA) on Aug 26 visited SIP’s Shengpu Sub-district for a survey on the progress of the project underway there to make the sub-district a demonstration area for food safety guarantee in East China’s Jiangsu province. 

 

The JSFDA officials attended a meeting with the local officials and listened to their debriefings on the progress of project.

According to the local officials, Shengpu Sub-district office has taken a series of measures to arouse local residents’ awareness of food safety, curb food wastage and eliminate safety pitfalls in food production, supply and consumption.

JSFDA officials gave high praise to the sub-district’s efforts for the project and offered advice for next steps including preparations for an imminent evaluation.
