At the 17th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals held in April in Shenzhen, a city in South China’s Guangdong province, the 2018 list of “Top 10 Most Attractive Chinese Cities for Foreigners” was released. Suzhou ranked sixth as the only city in East China’s Jiangsu province to win a place on the list. Moreover, it is the eighth straight year that the city’s name appeared on the list.

 

With 13,000 expatriates from different countries and regions, Suzhou is the No. 1 city province-wide and No. 2 nationwide in terms of number of migrants. Most of the nonnatives admit it is the city’s profound history, splendid culture and plentiful job and business opportunities that have attracted them to it.
