A smartphone App called “SIP Health”, which started trial operation last year, formally came into service in SIP on May 7 to provide convenience to residents in need of medical services. Concurrently, SIP Comprehensive Health Services Management Platform was launched to provide information about local medical and health services and resources.

Incorporating big data and cloud computing modules, SIP Health enables users to make appointment and payment for medical services, check medical reports and apply for health certificates using their smartphones. Moreover, it offers video courses for the newly-weds and mothers-to-be.

It is learnt that the App currently stores health records for 560,000 SIP residents and covers services at 28 Suzhou-based hospitals. More than 50,000 people used it during the trial operation period and gave positive feedbacks.

SIP Comprehensive Health Services Management Platform offers real-time information about beds, medics and services at local medical and health service organizations for on-line inquiry.
