The class on traditional Chinese operas, offered by the “Help and Happiness” Healthcare Center (HHHC), a volunteer organization in Shizhen Community in SIP’s Shengpu Sub-district, started on Apr 29 to provide opportunities for 20 local cancer patients to learn to perform traditional Chinese operas.

It is learnt that HHHC has carried out a series of programs since its founding in 2015 to provide on-line and face-to-face psychological consultation to patients with serious diseases and help them seek medical treatment.

HHHC started to offer classes on traditional Chinese operas three years ago, along with opportunities for the learners to perform in various local cultural and art events. The program has helped many cancer patients enrich their cultural and spiritual life.
