A news briefing on Apr 9 gave the participants an early glimpse of the highlights at the 2019 (8th) China (Suzhou) Cultural and Creative Design Expo (CCDE) scheduled at SIP’s Suzhou International Expo Centre from Apr 19 to 22. 

At the event, six exhibitors showcased a variety of creative products, including derivatives of two popular cartoon characters created by a Suzhou-based company, illustrations by famous Chinese actor Pan Yueming, glass works by a number of top Czech artists and innovative Chinese woodcut prints, which amazed the viewers.

It is learnt that more traditional and modern artworks by renowned domestic and overseas artists will be displayed at the expo, and a special exhibition will be held to show about 700 exhibits such as embroideries, silver ornaments and wooden combs made by females in East China’s Jiangsu province and Tongren city in Southwest China’s Guizhou province.
