Public lecture on 5G and AI held in SIP

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Suzhou) AI Research Institute in SIP is joining hands with SIP Training Management Center and several other partners to offer a series of public lectures themed "AI & Industrial Transformation" in SIP, hoping to help local enterprises keep abreast of the latest information about AI and its application in different fields. At the third session held lately, several experts shared with the participating entrepreneurs their expertise and views on 5G network, Internet of Things and their combination with AI technologies.

Prof. Stephen Cassidy, an AI expert at British Telecommunications (BT), a British multinational telecommunications company headquartered in London, shared with the participants the outcomes of their research project aimed at optimizing man-machine relations in organizations based on AI and digital technologies.

Using easy-to-understand language, Dai Xu, an expert from China Telecom, gave the participants a specific introduction to the pilot application of China Telecom's 5G technologies, and shared with them his views on the future role of 5G networks in people's life and industrial production.

Xu Jie, partner of Mixlinker, a Chinese supplier of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions, gave the participants a detailed account of IIoT's characteristics, advantages and functions in smart manufacturing.

The event was well received by the participants. According to the organizers, the following public lectures will focus on the use of AI technologies in medical care, education, finance and retail, etc.
