Suzhou Chamber of Commerce Museum (SCCM), a business culture museum located at Shantang Street, Suzhou, reopened in early January after renovation. At the opening ceremony, a mobile app developed by Suzhou Heyun Guanbo Digital Technology Co Ltd, an SIP-based company engaged in building smart apps for museums, caught many visitors' eyes.

The mobile app, the first of its kind nationwide, offers interesting audio, video, picture, text, AR (augmented reality) and 3D content about the museum and its exhibits. By scanning an exhibit with their smartphones, the visitors can get all the details about it and give their comments on line.

It is learnt that the app has been rolled out to over 30 museums in and outside Suzhou since it was released at Suzhou Museum in 2016. Statistics show that it is downloaded for 900 times per day.

The company disclosed that they are working on combining the app with AR glasses and other wearable devices to give museum-goers more fantastic experiences.
