The 2019 HSBC "Future Star" Winter Camp, sponsored by HSBC and two of its partner foundations, toured to SIP on Jan 30, offering 60 students from prestigious Chinese universities and colleges a good chance to gain a better understanding of the concept of sustainable development and the strategies to achieve it.

It is reported that the winter camp kicked off on Jan 26, when 120 college students in different academic disciplines were divided into two groups to visit a number of enterprises, research institutes and other organizations in Shanghai and Shenzhen and their surroundings for real case study on sustainable development.

In SIP, the campers visited Chinese Academy of Sciences' Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics (SINANO) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Suzhou) AI Research Institute, and attended a lecture given by instructors from the two institutes and AISpeech, a natural language interaction solution supplier in SIP. In the process, they learned lots of details about the organizations' practices in ensuring sustainable development and discussed related topics with the instructors.
