SIP hosts summit on cultural development in Yangtze River Delta

Sponsored by Chinese Literature Foundation at China Writers Association and the Publicity Department of CPC SIP Working Committee, the Yangtze River Delta Cultural Development Summit was held in SIP on Jan 18, gathering a host of representatives from the literary circle in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The event echoed with the central government's call for an integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region which generally refers to the triangle-shaped metropolitan region comprising Shanghai and 26 cities in East China's Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.

At the event, the participants brainstormed strategies for further enhancement of exchange and collaboration among litterateurs across the region. Wu Qingwen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, spoke at the event, encouraging the litterateurs to set up studios in SIP and promising to provide full support for their creation.

Moreover, the writers associations in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang?and Anhui jointly released the Suzhou Declaration, announcing to dedicate to promoting integrated cultural development in the region.
