The 2018 SIP Jinji Lake Orienteering for Environmental Protection took place along Jinji Lake banks on Dec 16, when nearly 1,000 people participated in a series of activities designed to enhance the public's understanding of volunteerism and increase their environmental protection awareness.

The event started with an award ceremony where the winners in an early volunteerism-themed photography competition and a number of volunteer-involving organizations and individuals received certificates of honor.

The orienteering followed, with two routes respectively devised for families and other adults. Each route had three control points where the participants were required to fulfill a set of designated tasks for environmental protection purpose.

There was a charity bazaar at the terminal, with displays on eco-friendly concepts and actions as well as various products on sale to collect money for people in need of help.
