The 2018 (11th) Loufeng Sub-district Retirees' Chess and Card Contest took place at the sub-district's activity center on Oct 30. A total of 110 retirees from 23 communities competed in the individual and team Chinese chess, I-go and guandan (a card game popular in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces) games, and the winners received awards and gained the entry to an SIP-wide event of similar kind.

It is learnt that the sub-district hosts an event of the kind each year since 2008 for the purpose of helping the local retirees enrich their life. Up till now, 655 people have participated.
