Yang Jingxing, a student at Ulink College of Suzhou Industrial Park, recently gained the opportunity to join other 29 youths for a 10-day learning tour to the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom after a nationwide competition for the entry to the overseas study program sponsored by China Merchants Bank.

It is learnt that 4,400 senior high school students took part in the competition at 42 places across the country. The 30 winners were spotted for their global vision, innovative thinking and high degree of social responsibility. They will start the tour during the winter vacation early next year to attend a set of Cambridge courses on science and technology, culture, history and environment. They will also have the chance to meet the mayor of Cambridge and other Chinese and British officials and scholars for in-depth exchange.
