The opening ceremony of 2018 (7th) Suzhou Jinji Lake Art Festival (SJLAF) was held at Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre, SIP on Oct 12. The festival is scheduled to last till Nov 17, consisting of a variety of art performances, exhibitions, experience activities and interactions to offer the local citizens chances to get close to refined art.

The opening ceremony included a "Dialogue on Art", where several artists and theater operators shared their opinions on art and art festivals, and a list of wonderful performances given by Suzhou Ballet Theatre, Suzhou Symphony Orchestra and other art troupes.

As an annual event in Suzhou since 2012, SJLAF is widely known for its diversified components tailored for people with different artistic tastes. There is no exception this year and, as disclosed at the opening ceremony, the audiences can even expect some new elements, such as three opera performances from Beijing-based National Center for the Performing Arts.
