Recently, a series of public-benefit events in Loufeng sub-district greatly enhanced the local residents' sense of happiness.

Xujiabang Community hosted an art show at a local square on Oct 8 to mark the National Day that is celebrated annually on Oct 1. In the event, the residents were treated to a list of wonderful performances such as Chinese yo-yo playing, magic, traditional Chinese opera and chorus, and some of them participated in the knowledge quizzes at the intervals of the performances.

Dushu Community offered a lecture on private lending. Based on real cases, Yin Jun, an officer from Loufeng sub-district police station, gave over 50 participants a detailed account of operation modes of private lending, relevant laws and regulations and the differences between legal and illegal private lending, warning them of potential risks and offering countermeasures.

Jingyuanbei Community organized a dog vaccination on Sept 25, when professional staff gave the dogs vaccine injection and made registration for them. They also offered the owners tips on dog rearing and rabies prevention.

A free dental clinic event took place in Fengyi Community on Sept 20, the National Love Teeth Day, when the volunteer dentists from Xinghai Hospital offered the participants checks on their teeth and advice on daily dental care.

Tongluyuan Community saw an event of similar kind on Sept 18. In addition to dental check-ups, the medics also provided free blood pressure and glucose testing to the residents, gave them handouts on health maintenance and offered advice on daily health care.
