Suzhou Star Wheel Tourism Co Ltd, operator of Suzhou Ferris Wheel Park in SIP, announced on Sept 10 that the renovation project for the park is set to start later this year and complete in 2021.

The over-30,000sqm park currently boasts a 120m-tall Ferris wheel on water and a variety of amusement facilities. It has been one of the most sought-after attractions in the area since it came into service in 2009.

According to the plan, the park will cover a bigger land area and have many new facilities such as children's playground, exhibition halls and restaurants. Besides, the buildings will be kept a certain distance from the bank of Jinji Lake and the Ferris wheel will be upgraded so as to expand and improve the view of the lake sceneries.
