The hard training for three hours each of the past 20 days paid off, as the Flower Season Youth Art Troupe from SIP Youth & Children Center (SIPYCC) was declared the first prize winner at the 6th Jiangsu Primary and Middle School Students' Art Performance Competition held in the province's capital Nanjing from Aug 26 to 27.

The winning performance, an original dance called "Hundred Kids Embroidering in Spring", won the heart of the jury panel for its innovative incorporation of traditional cultural elements and local characteristics with the dancing art and the youthful vitality it conveys. No wonder that it has received many awards and acclaims in competitions at national, provincial and city levels.

Of course, the achievement should be attributed in a large part to the little performers who spent nearly half of their summer vacation practicing their movements and facial expressions with their teachers' help and instructions.
