SIP Yilin Kindergarten hosted an event on May 10, when Zhu and Chen, two Kunqu opera artists, gave performances and imparted knowledge on the traditional Chinese stage art to the children and their parents and grandparents. The event offered the participants a good chance to learn more about traditional Chinese culture and art while tightening their family ties.

At the beginning, Zhu performed an episode from classical Kunqu opera One Sweet Dream in the Garden, while Chen, using interesting and easy-to-understand language, gave the participants a detailed account of the origin and historical evolution of the art form. Then artists taught several children and their parents performing skills and wrapped up the event with a joint performance.
