A news briefing at Suzhou Culture and Art Centre on May 11 unveiled the highlights of Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale to be held in Suzhou from May 19 to June 19.

It was revealed that this year's event will consist of three theme exhibitions on design, sculpture and painting, 22 parallel exhibitions, one academic summit and a series of theme activities, where the visitors will get close to the world's leading artistic trends and the most representative Suzhou cultural elements. In addition, many domestic and overseas artists will participate to share their knowledge and opinions on art and culture.

The event included a specific account of the eye-catchers at the biennale. For example, the painting exhibition to kick off on May 18 will boast an ingenious design to display 42 artists' works in a classical Suzhou-style garden, while the sculpture exhibition at Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block will showcase over 130 works by more than 30 young sculptors.
