Children learn fire response skills

Shanghai Animation Film Studio (SAFS) and its Adult School for Animation Films jointly offered a training session themed "Be a Hero like Black Cat Detective" at Base Contemporary Art Museum, Suzhou on Mar 11, with the purpose of teaching children fire prevention and control skills. A group of little reporters from City Business News, 8 am participated.

The children first watched Black Cat Detective, an animation film adapted by SAFS from its animated TV series of the same name, in which a black cat serves as a detective to safeguard the peace of the forest. Based on the film, the volunteer teachers taught them the right ways of coping with a fire, including how to use lifelines and towels for self-rescue. Then the children and their parents practiced survival skills in a simulation drill.

Although the teachers encouraged the children to be brave when they have to face a fire, they warned them to follow adults' instructions in fighting a fire. At the end, each child received a certificate for their excellent performance in the event.
