Reed Leaf Center, a non-governmental environmental protection organization founded in Weiting Sub-district in 2015, recently received a supporting fund of RMB 20,000 from Suzhou government for its garbage classification trainer training program.

The program came up in the wake of the increasing piles of trash nowadays and the public's confusion in disposing it. It is designed to train a large number of volunteers who will help disseminate garbage classification concepts and methods widely.

The graduates from the training program, including property management staff, administrative staff, school teachers and college students, will serve across the city to raise the citizens’ awareness of environmental protection and help them gain a better knowledge of garbage classification.
