The Environmental Protection Department of Jiangsu Province recently released the list of province's Good Ecological Environment Demonstration Townships (Sub-districts). Weiting Sub-district is on the list, the only one in SIP.

It is reported that the sub-district garnered the honor through a series of evaluations on its spatial and industrial layouts, efforts in environmental protection and landscaping, people's livelihood and public services. Undoubtedly, the sub-district's excellent residential and business environment, continuous resident income increase, remarkable achievements in energy saving and emission reduction in addition to considerate public services won the heart of the evaluation committee.

For the next step, the sub-district plans to lean more heavily on building a better ecological environment for the benefit of the local residents and businesses.
