Hudong sub-district's endeavor in education improvement pays off

Hudong sub-district has seen remarkable outcomes in diversifying education modes and providing education opportunities for the local residents over the past two months. Relying on integrated educational resources, communities in the sub-district have successfully hosted a variety of events that helped the residents gain different aspects of knowledge.

Fangyue Community organized an event on Feb 24, when a local senior shared his experiences in aerospace research with the youngsters.

Xinyue Community offered free legal consultancy on Feb 28, when a local lawyer provided the residents with helpful advice on how to deal with various common legal issues.

Binhu Community hosted an event to increase the residents' vigilance against thefts and swindles in various guises.

In the event at Haishang Community, a number of teen volunteers imparted knowledge on garbage classification to the residents.

In Jiuhua Community, the Pioneer Book Corner with hundreds of books, newspapers and periodicals donated by the local residents came into service on Mar 1, offering the booklovers a good place to enjoy reading in their leisure time.

In Xinghu Community, a number of children shared their stories and picture books following the guidance of a volunteer teacher in a reading session held at the local Happy Reading Cabin on Mar 3.
