A photo exhibition kicked of f at SIP Cultural Centre on Mar 3, attracting many visitors.

On display are 60 captioned photos selected through on-line voting from more than 1,000 works by local citizens and tourists entering the 2017 Photos and Captions Competition. From different perspectives, the works depict the charm of Suzhou city, including both its classical and modern facets, and the locals' daily life.

Among the works is The March of Gorgon Fruits, the first prize winner in the competition. It is from Xu Jingping, a local photography enthusiast who took the photo using an unmanned aerial vehicle to give a top view of the scene where farmers are harvesting gorgon fruits.

Over 10 works received awards as the top three place winners on the same day, while postcards made based on the excellent works were unveiled.
