The "Volunteer Service Vehicle" of Xietang Sub-district's Chefang Community came into service on Mar 2, designed to help the residents solve difficulties in their daily life in a more efficient and flexible way.

The vehicle is actually a modified four-wheel trolley, which bears slogans calling on people to lend a helping hand to others as well as a cartoonish rendering of Wang Jiadong, a local senior resident whose consistent efforts in helping others sparked the idea to employ such a vehicle.

The vehicle received a variety of donations like used electric fan, books, umbrellas, clothes and toys from Wang and other residents on the first day. Special volunteers have been designated to handle the residents' applications for the articles and provide information about various handy services to them.
