Chen Can and Zhao Tong from Kuatang Primary School in SIP won the gold medal by performing Wandering in the Garden, an episode from The Peony Pavilion (a famous Kunqu opera), in the recent 21th Chinese children traditional opera competition.

The two children, without much traditional opera foundation, are very hardworking, especially in practicing the basic skills. To prepare for the competition, they spent the whole month of June to do the practice and rehearsal, and overcame many difficulties. Finally their hard work paid off.
