Script Reading, part of the 2nd Suzhou Fringe Festival, welcomed drama fans on the evening of March 24 at First Sight Bookstore on Pingjiang Road, a historical street in the city proper of Suzhou. With an air of antiquity and under the gentle light, about 20 drama fans sat round the table, reading the script of Spring Time in a Small Town, a classic Chinese movie that premiered in 1948.

During the activity, the drama fans got a rare opportunity to receive professional guidance, from basic vocalization practice, from a teacher specially invited by the festival organizer.
