Suzhou Symphony Orchestra (SZSO) staged the concert The Eternal Tchaikovsky I at Grand Theatre of Suzhou Culture & Arts Center on the evening of March 18. Hamlet Fantasy Overture in F minor, Violin Concerto in D major, Symphony No. 4 in F minor and some other classic melodies were stroke up as tribute to the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky.

The concert is part of SZSO's concert series in 2017, which will be followed by Chen Xieyang Conducts all Beethoven, The Eternal Tchaikovsky II, Leipzig Tradition-Mendelssohn II, etc. The concert series is held to promote high-brow classical music among ordinary citizens.

Established in November 2016 as Suzhou's first professional symphony orchestra, SZSO is composed of 63 outstanding players from 15 countries and regions, including China, the US, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Israel and South Korea.
