On October 12, Suzhou Industrial Park held the commencement ceremony for 2015 Life-long Popular Study Week in Central Park.

The ceremony was centered around the exhibitions that demonstrated the achievements in the life-long education and special education in SIP in the past 20 years. On the spot the teams of juniors and senior citizens and social organizations from sub-districts and community working committees displayed the results of artistic creation, folklore, ancient culture, intelligent robots, environment protection, etc. in 11 exhibition stands.

The ceremony also announced the opening of SIP Life-long Study Research Institute, which is under the administration of SIP Education Bureau with the involvement of open universities. The institute will help to promote life-long education to a new level by carrying out experiments in community education projects, curriculum development, and the monitoring of the level of regional life-long education, and coordinating the scientific research in improving community education. The ceremony also gave citations to the "study stars of the masses", along with a cultural performance.

From October 13-15, Huxi Community Working Committee will hold demonstration activities at 7 P.M. in Central Park on the cultural life of the citizens of Huxi (west of Jinji Lake) to enliven the atmosphere of "popular study", and "life-long study".
