"Bank of Suzhou" 2015 Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon is scheduled for 8:30 am, March 29 at Moon Harbor, according to the press conference of the marathon on the afternoon of March 19. It is expected that nearly 30,000 people will compete in four categories of half marathon, short marathon, mini marathon and family run. This 6th event is hosted by Chinese Athletic Association, Jiangsu Sports Bureau and organized by Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee, Suzhou Sports Bureau and Suzhou Wisdom Sports and Culture Development Co., Ltd.

Nearly 3,000 foreigners are to take part in
As usual, the starting and finish lines are at Moon Harbor. And with the expansion of the influence, the event this time attracts nearly 3,000 foreigners from over 40 countries and regions of four continents.

Volunteer are more professional and security work upgrades
Now, all aspects of preparatory work are under way. Nearly 3,000 volunteers from enterprises, public institutions, social volunteer groups, colleges and universities have signed up for the volunteer service teams of the event. When the day comes, on the site of the event, over-600-member police force will ensure safety, over-200-member medical & emergency services will be put on standby, and over 200 professional referees will ensure competition order. In addition, 10 drinking water supply and 3 food supply stations will be set up along the racing track to ensure the runners' sufficient energy.

More highlights in the event
Since the 1st occasion, Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon has introduced charity to the event. Therefore, several non-profit organizations and the organizing committee will organize "public-benefit running" to give special groups opportunities to join in the sports event, blending into society and enjoying life better.

To heighten the jubilant atmosphere, activities entitled "runaway brides" and "rabbit pacemakers" will be added to the event.

And, brand new design elements of Suzhou-style fan and latticed window are applied to the medal designing to highlight the unique features of Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon.
