The managers of Suzhou Industrial Park NPO Incubation Hub meet every two weeks to discuss business plans and share managerial experience.

The NPO Incubation Hub was founded at Dongshahu Community Club on June 18 this year as the first one of its kind in SIP. Financially supported by the local government and with a professional management team, it incubates startup non-profit organizations as active player in social governance.

After initial screening and investigation, the hub admitted the first 12 out of 40 business plans in helping poverty-stricken families, challenged kids, and people affected by natural disasters. These startup and budding social organizations are in urgent need of place, capital, guidance, and support.

Ms. Liu from SIP's "In Action" Social Worker Development Center comes to the hub once a week talking with other managers about project development. "In Action" aims to help non-locals to blend into the local community.

In addition to providing well-equipped offices and small loans, the hub also pools people and other resources, organizes seminars and workshops, and helps contracted NPO projects in marketing and optimization.

For the managers, each gathering serves as a brain storm helping them come up with the best ideas. These discussions are of the same importance as the training programs and one-on-one expert consultancy.
