Lantern Festival on the 15th of the first lunar month is a traditional festival in China, and in order to celebrate the festival the residents in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Zhongtang Residential Community, old and young, Chinese and foreign, got together and held a big party in the traditional way.

 

  

 

Some 400 riddles about science, traditional Chinese medicine, legal knowledge and sports were prepared by the resident committee to offer both entertainment and knowledge, and the residents who guessed right could win a present.

 

    

 

Mark, a foreign resident in Zhongtang Community, was also attracted to the activity together with his son Wei Lai. Having been living in Suzhou for ten years, Mark has become a China hand and guessed 3 riddles after long and hard thinking. He said happily that he enjoyed these activities in China a lot because he could feel the traditional atmosphere and learn more about Chinese folk custom. And Mark also said that he was really happy with the activity in an authentic traditional Chinese festival.
