SIP Land Resources and Environmental Protection Bureau (SIP-LREPB) convened a meeting at Jingcheng Community Club on Jan 3, unveiling the latest progress of its Environmental Management Partners Program (EMPP) and giving awards to high performers under the program.

SIP-LREPB initiated EMPP in 2018 in a move to lend local enterprises a hand in environmental management during their operations. Each year, a number of SIP-LREPB staff and EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) experts are paired with selected enterprises to help them detect loopholes in environmental management and figure out solutions. Statistics show that the program has helped 130 enterprises address about 1,000 problems in 2018 and 2019, and enabled them to see remarkable improvements in environmental management capacity and performance evaluations.

At the event, 15 enterprises and six experts received awards for their excellent performance under the program.

Three enterprises shared their experience in executing the program with enterprises to join the program this year.
