SIP authorities on Oct 31 held a meeting with the purpose of urging better disposal of household waste across SIP. Administrative staff from related departments participated. 

 

At the event, a member of SIP Leading Group for Household Waste Disposal made a report on a series of programs launched since early this year to spread garbage classification concepts and methods among local residents, covering the progress and effects of the programs, challenges during their implementation and countermeasures. Additionally, the representatives of the authorities of Weiting Sub-district and Huxi sub-district shared their good practices in encouraging garbage classification. 

 

After that, SIP Administrative Committee made deployment for future work concerning household waste disposal.
